Home Design Architectural Series 3000 is a great value, offering a superior feature set for an affordable price. Home Design Architectural Series 3000 is not only the best software product for Home Design but it's also one the best software applications available for home users period. We thoroughly enjoyed reviewing and using this product. Series 3000 comes with one of the largest feature sets available.

If you really want to get serious about designing your home and you have a little bit more to spend, read our review of Home Design Architectural Series 4000. It is a little more expensive and probably over the top for most users. See a list of feature differences.

Feature set:  
Home Design Architectural Series 3000 is a feature-rich program that goes beyond the typical home design software by offering unique design tools that give you the freedom to add customized details to your home design. Some of these tools include: Elevation Editor, Cabinet Wizard, Fireplace Wizard, Framing Editor and more.

This program also offers one of the most extensive plant libraries available. The program also allows you to place fences, patios, pools and other landscape objects in your design.

Series 3000's 3-D feature allows you to walk through the inside of your home or fly around its exterior, providing you with a photo-realistic perspective of your design, from any angle. You can also make real-time changes to your design while in 3-D mode, allowing you to view changes without saving and reopening the file.

Ease of use:  
Although Home Design Architectural Series 3000 has a truckload of potential, you should plan on investing a lot of time reading the user manual. Once you've spent some time with it, Series 3000 becomes simple and fun to use.

Although most people can pick up the basics of the program quickly, there are so many features, tools and wizards available with this program, most people will have to spend hours, if not days, learning everything the program has to offer. Also, if you're not familiar with home design, this program will be even more challenging to learn.

For those familiar with computers and basic home design, you'll find Home Design Architectural Series 3000 to be a flexible, useful home design tool.


Ease of installation/setup:  
Although it took several minutes, we had no problems installing Home Design Architectural Series 3000.


Help/Documentation:  
Punch! offers help for Home Design Architectural Series 3000 with video tutorials, a table of contents and a searchable index—all conveniently built into the program. The program also comes with an informative 473-page user manual.
